These new premium products use even higher grade materials, and are machined to even tighter tolerances than the already excellent Photo Clam Professional Ballheads.

Of course, the Pro Gold II Premium line from Photo Clam includes all the features you've come to expect in high quality, professional ballheads - including a friction preset control, industry standard quick release system and a smooth, secure panning base. Due to the compact size and a pan locking knob that is located 90-derees from the main ball locking knob, the Pro Gold II series is a great match for the traveler style tripods from Feisol and other manufacturers. This makes the Pro Gold II series a perfect compliment to the Feisol CT-3441S, CT-3441T and CT-3342/CT-3442 tripods.
The Pro Gold II Premium Ballhead series comes in three variations. They are:
Pro Gold II QR: Standard Knob Driven Quick Release Clamp - $269.00. The traditional knob driven quick release clamp is the most affordable and most universal quick release clamp option. It will accept Photo Clam's own quick release plates, or a wide range of quick release plates and brackets from other manufacturers.
Pro Gold II Easy QR - Lever Operated Quick Release Clamp - $309.00. The Easy QR model adds the speed and convenience of a lever operated quick release clamp to the Pro Gold II line-up. The width of the Easy QR clamp is user adjustable to match the width of a wide range of quick release plates. Plate widths and manufacturing tolerances vary from brand to brand. So, it is important to check the proper fit of plates and make sure the width of the Easy QR clamp is properly adjusted to match the plates. For this reason, mixing brands of plates is not recommended.
Pro Gold II Easy PQR - Lever Operated Quick Release Clamp and Top Mounted Panning Bed - $395.00. The Easy PQR adds a top mounted panning bed to the lever operated quick release plate of the Easy QR model. The top mounted panning bed provides a compact, lightweight, affordable, easy-to-use solution for shooting multi-image single row panoramic images. No more fiddling with adjusting the tripod legs to get a level panning bed. Just level the camera using the Pro Gold II Easy PQR ballhead, and you are ready to shoot multi-image single row panoramic images. With the top mounted panning bed built-in, the Pro Gold II Easy PQR also offers a more affordable, more integrated solution than add-on options from other manufacturers.
